Job Vacancy – Direct Support Professional
Zion Care Services is a service provider registered to provide Home and Community-Based Services to people living with disabilities, and people who need rehabilitation and integration into the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
- Complete daily and monthly documentation and reports following standards.
- Assist clients with money management, personal paperwork, and other documentation.
- Coordinate and assist with home management functions such as light housekeeping, shopping, and meal preparation; Create daily schedules and plans for clients
- Ensure all necessary medical and other appointments are scheduled;
- Accompany clients to scheduled appointments and/or run errands for clients.
- Contribute/encourage community participation of clients
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Ability to write reports and document billable hours; communication skills (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- 2-year college degree or diploma; high School Diploma/GED and 2-3years experience; 1-2 years of prior experience in a related field and the ability to work well independently; valid driver’s license and insurance
Working hours at Zion Care Services are from 8 am-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Starting salary – $17.00-$17.50 an hour. Reimbursements for mileage. Team members are encouraged to be CAREGIVERS for family and friends
